Neenah, WI (PRLEAK ) November 4, 2009 – According to the recently published World Alzheimer Report, over 35 million people throughout the world are likely to suffer from dementia by 2010. In conjunction with Alzheimer's Awareness Month, CRL Senior Living Communities, a senior care residence provider with 16 independent living and assisted living and Alzheimer's/memory care communities in Wisconsin and Illinois, took this opportunity to help people recognize the symptoms of common Alzheimer's disease.

People that have difficulty in carrying out normal tasks and experience memory loss that slowly affects their daily life need to seek help. Those that are often confused about the time or location they are at and fail to understand visual images also need to ask for professional medical help. Individuals that find tasks like planning and problem solving difficult, or experience difficulty speaking or writing in the recent past need to contact their doctor for professional advice.

If an individual is constantly misplacing things or finds that he or she has lost the ability to retrace steps, and is experiencing decreased or poor judgment, then this could be the first signs of Alzheimer's disease. Those that find themselves seeking to withdraw from work or social activities and experience increasing mood swings and changes in personality should seek professional medical help at once.
